Authentic Dwight Jerseys Are Selling For $20

According to Deadspin, Staples Center is desperately trying to get rid of its stock of Dwight Howard jerseys, discounting team authentics to $20. I’m no mathematician, but that seems like a mark down of 800 percent. At that price I might buy 3 and just use them as napkins.

Ever Wonder What Clipper Darrell Does In His Free Time?

He sells cars. There you go. Heres the bigger question though – does he ever take off that suit? Does he wear it to bed? Does he have a separate set of pajamas in that EXACT color combo? And if he does, do you think it looks exactly the same as the suit?

Yeah, I’m gonna need some answers on this.

NBA Stars Kick Off Jordan Flight Tour

Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Blake Griffin are flying around the world promoting Team Jordan, and here’s a video of them on one of their stops. Now, I’d like to consider myself an educated man. Ok, not VERY educated. But not a wholesale idiot. Anyway, I’ve never heard of Guangzhou. Not even a little bit. I thought it was Guam at first, and the guy typing it had an epileptic seizure and hit like 12 extra letters. But apparently that’s not it. So I’m gonna go find a globe. Let me know if anything important happens today.

Featured Artists – Lebron’s Beach Life

A final piece from Grantland artist Tim McAuliffe, and possibly my favorite. I especially like how the red doesn’t interact with a crown, or two championship rings, or really anything else I can’t stand about this guy. Because all of that is not pictured. Fantastic, Tim.

If anyone has any art they’d like to feature, tweet our balls off.

Featured Artists – More Great NBA Art

More from Grantland artist Tim McAuliffe. It’s American AND pro-ball. Which means it would’ve fit in perfectly here on the 4th of July…which I dropped the ball on. Let’s all think back and then it’ll fit. You remember the binge drinking? The mediocre bbq? The fat girl you made out with who tried to facebook you immediately the next day? Ahhhh ‘Murica. What a place.

New NBA Art Is Pretty Dope

This is part of our Featured Artists series (that we’re starting right this very moment). This is All Star Swag, by Tim McAuliffe. I’m a little pissed he couldn’t fit David Stern’s “Old Man Suit and Librarian Glasses Chic” in there, but hey beggars can’t be choosers.

Tim’s been featured on Grantland, and you can see more of his work here.

‘Anderson Silva’s Punchout’ Is The Best

Everyone in the beer drinking country saw Anderson Silva get KTFO a few weekends ago. Yet we haven’t seen enough internet jokiness about it. Or maybe I just didn’t see, and I’m looking in the wrong places. You press power, then popcorn, then start to go to google right? Ahhhh shit I might be looking at the microwave again….

Charles Barkley Agrees With The Zimmerman Verdict

Speaking with CNBC via yardbarker, the always outspoken Charles Barkley revealed his thoughts on the Martin/Zimmerman verdict yesterday. And as one can imagine, it was thoughtful, unexpected and slightly against the grain.

“Well, I agreed with the verdict. I feel sorry that young kid got killed. But they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him. Something clearly went wrong that night. Clearly something went wrong. I feel bad for anybody who loses a kid, but if you looked at the case and you don’t make it — there was some racial profiling, no question about it. But something happened that changed the dynamic of that night, and I know — that’s probably not a popular opinion among most people but just looking at the evidence I agreed with the verdict.”

As usual, Charles not only feels just a little differently than the vast majority, but he has the guts to say it out loud. It’s really a logical stance, not an emotional one – he feels bad for a young boy who was killed, agreed there was a racial element involved, but didn’t see enough evidence to convict. I might not agree, but it’s always hard to argue against Chuck. And yes, I’m being careful so I don’t get rioted.
